Bud Weil Memorial Park

Bud Weil Memorial Park is a smaller park located behind the city hall. The park includes a pond, a short trail, and a stone pavilion that honors the memory of Gregory Domijan, a Croatian Stonemason who originally owned the land.

Visitors can feed the fish from the small dock. The short trail is the perfect place for those wanting to take a quick stroll and observe nature. If you visit the pond, you might spot the turtles that live there.

For quick access to another park, you'll be glad to know that Fabick Nature Preserve backs up into Bud Weil Memorial Park and is connected by hiking trails.

Fabick Nature Preserve

Fabrick Nature Preserve is considered a hidden gem with a lot to offer visitors. The Fabick family donated this nature preserve, and it is one of the largest Fenton parks. The Nature Preserve is underdeveloped, which is why many people don't realize how large it is. However, it does have a few amenities, which makes it worth a visit. 

The Preserve has two fishing ponds stocked by the Missouri Conservation Department. If you're into old mansions, you can check out the ruins of the old Fabick mansion. While the mansion was knocked down, a patio and unique stonework remain.

Fenton City Park

Fenton City Park is a park for everyone, offering many activities to keep you busy while you are visiting. The park has several picnic shelters, perfect for a day of food with family and friends.

The park also has two playgrounds for children, a basketball court, a softball field, and a soccer field. So, if you're planning a day of fun, Fenton City Park is a great pit stop. Fenton City Park also has several trails, which are great for a stroll or exercise.

While Fenton City Park isn't a dog park, you are welcome to bring your pet so long as you keep them on a leash no longer than 6 feet.

Meramec Greenway Trail

Looking for the perfect trail? There's no trail better than Meramec Greenway. Located along the Meramec River, this trail is 25 miles long and offers a scenic view as you experience the trail. 

Visitors can follow the walking/bike path from Fenton City Park along the river to Highway 30 overpass. Meramec Greenway trail also has a boardwalk reconstructed from recycled materials. If you're bringing children along, the trail has a playground along the Greenway next to Fenton City Park.

For avid fishers, you'll be glad to know you can fish along the Meramec River. You can find fish like Bluegill, Channel catfish, and Largemouth bass.

Riverside Park

Another small park on the list is Riverside Park, located alongside the Riverside subdivision. This tucked-away park is great for those who want a quiet space to observe nature.

If you're interested in taking a walk, the park has about 0.1 miles of paved trail. The park also features a basketball court. If you have a furry friend, pets are welcome but must be on a leash.

Valiant Park

Valiant Park is a small park but has a great location, giving visitors access to a few amenities. This park is situated across the street from Fenton City Park and Fabick Nature Preserve.

The park offers a playground for children and offers a host of other amenities like picnic tables and a barbecue grill. Due to Valiant Park's great location, visitors can quickly access other popular attractions, like the Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center and the Endangered Wolf Center.
